Vallejo, CA 5.0 star rating 3/10/2013 I found her website through babycenter that there's a baby piercing in bay area. We drove an hour and took my 4year-old daughter today to have her ears pierced. Margaret is very patient, informative and does not rush each patient even if the next one is waiting in the waiting area. She does not force you to get or do what she wants which is good. She explains clearly all the after-care instructions. She is very honest and answers any questions that you might have. Very patient to babies and kids of all ages. Very accurate on the marking before she starts to pierce. Room was very clean. I highly recommend her to anyone. Very safe and caring with your child. Very professional and passionate to what she is doing. I will be taking my other daughter when she turns 3. Whatever you pay for is really worth it. Huge selection of earrings. She answers text and calls promptly. And most of all always available 24/7. She handles reminders on appointment very well. She even reminded me of daylight savings time today! How sweet! Thanks Margaret and keep up the great work! You are awesome!  4/20/2011 Wonderful experience! Easy to book our appointment & Margaret responded very quickly when I asked questions via email & text. The location is easy to find, with plenty of street parking. The facility is very quiet and clean. I researched where to get our daughters ears pierced for awhile. We originally planned to pierce her ears when she was about six months old. I was hesitant because the only option I was coming up with in Sacramento was taking her to the mall to have someone that didn't have much experience do the job. So, we waited and I kept researching. We then decided to wait until she asked us for earrings--thinking we had a few years. At 20 months, she became obsessed with earrings and would gingerly touch them and say "earrings, please". She'd see them anywhere and touch her own ears and ask for them. Of course, we knew she would have no idea some discomfort would be associated with the piercing process so we waited some more. After reading all the reviews for Baby Piercing, we decided to get in touch with Margaret and get it scheduled. Margaret was fantastic, and answered all of my questions on the phone. We decided it was well worth a drive from Sacramento to San Francisco for this, and we couldn't be happier with having our 22-month old's ears pierced. Margaret took the time to mark our daughters ears so they'd be even in relation to her her face--not just measuring a certain place on the earlobe as most people don't have the same size earlobes on each side. Did our daughter cry? Yes. Was it any worse than her vaccinations? No. She was over it quickly, and we enjoyed a great brunch in the city afterward.

She clearly loves children and is extremely patient. She was very thorough in making sure the earrings would be straight, even and properly placed on the lobe. Margaret is great ..... My friend's daughter also went to Margaret so I knew this was the place to go. Nenette Y. San Francisco, CA 1/16/2012 Finding this wonderful business through Yelp made me wonder how in the world did we ever do this before Yelp? Not sure I would've ever have known about this place since it's all the way in Outer Sunset, an area I rarely venture off to since I live on the other side of The City. Anyway, I'm a first time mom and a little picky (okaaay, very picky) about what's happening to my Boo. I knew I wanted diamond earrings, 14k backs and a quiet space without any distractions so my daughter would be calm and the person could focus all their attention on her. I found it here! Margaret responded to my email inquiry within a couple hours and I was able to make an appointment for 3 days later. I chose to pay in advance to hold the earrings and guarantee they were in stock. We also briefly chatted on the phone prior to the appointment and she advised me of the importance of when I arrived with my daughter I should be calm/reassuring since babies can tell if parents are anxious (thus getting anxious themselves). There's plenty of FREE parking (not originally on my list so this was a huge bonus!) and we were in/out in 30 minutes. Yes, Boo cried... but I feel that it was more from restraining her arms and head than the actual piercing itself. Because 1 minute later when I lifted her in the air for our airplane move she was giggling again. Amazing little girl. Very happy here and I would absolutely recommend to anyone without hesitation! Thank you Margaret! :) San Francisco, CA 1/18/2012 My 10 year old wanted to wear earrings but refused to get her ears pierced in front of everyone at the mall. I found Margaret and babypiercing on yelp. There was a satisfied middle schooler and her parents coming out as we arrived, which made us feel comfortable and gave my daughter the message that this place is not just for babies. Margaret was thorough and explained what she was doing each step of the way. The entire experience was very private, clean & painless. The piercings healed without infection or discomfort. My fiance and I took our daughter Alayne to get her ears pierced with Margaret about a week ago and so far her ears are healing very nicely. There was never any swelling and my daughter never even seems to notice them. Our experience with Margaret was absolutely fabulous! Our appointment was at 11am and we arrived at 10:30am and Margaret went ahead and took us because her 10:30am appointment was running late. She did a wonderful job with our daughter Alayne. She took her time and made sure the alignment was perfect and took her sweet time in piercing our daughter's ears despite the fact that we went before her 10:30 appointment. She never rushed us at all and that was very nice. Once Margaret was done piercing our daughter's ears our daughter cried for only a few minutes and forgot all about it and she looks even more beautiful with her pretty earrings on. Over the weekend my wife & I decided to finally have our 9 month old baby girl ears pierced. We found Margarets website on a pediatrician ask any question page and we were thrilled with all her reviews but even more when we meet her. She made sure that the holes were evenly placed and took her time with the measuring. The earring selection was very cute. Our baby did cry during the quick process but as soon as her hands were off her ears she was perfectly fine and looks adorable. 4 days later still no swelling, redness or irritation just cuteness! Overall a great experience for our baby and us parents it beats going to a store at the mall and having a teenager with no experience and a piercing gun coming near our baby's ears. Hope parents out there have a great experience with Margaret as we did. Thanks again, Babycenter.com I had my daughters done recently at 4 months at place that specializes in in San Francisco, CA - babypiercing.com According to my pediatrician I was advised to have her get at least two cycles of her vaccinations. She cried a bit but forgot about it quickly with dad giving her a bottle and a vigorous walk through the mall. No touches to them yet, she seams to not notice them. We used only 14kt gold - no surgical steel or plated stuff.

Margaret, thank you for doing such a careful, gentle job piercing my daughter Sofia's ears. I would recommend you highly to any prospective client. You are the best! It was definitely worth the drive across the Bay to get to you. My son kept on saying afterwards: "that doctor was nice Mommy!". It really is a small world. It is so special knowing that you pierced my ears when I was a child, and now my daughter's. I never had any trouble with my ears, and have all the faith that Sofia won't either. Margaret Mahoma has 35 years of experience in piercing baby's ears. When I had mine done it was at a mall in one of those center booths when I was a little kid. Nowadays, I just don't trust those places to do my little girl's ear. It's more expensive, but I felt it's worth it to get it done correctly and evenly. There's a small selection of earrings for you to choose from which includes your birthstone color. She said she had her piercing gun custom made in Germany. The back part of her earrings are screwed in rather than just a push in one. The room setting is like in a doctor's office but less cold since there was a window. My 5 year old girl did not cry, but just kept saying ouch, ouch, ouch. I let her decide when she wanted to get her ears pierced. My husband and I came in on Oct 25 to get our daughter Meera's ears pierced. It is not easy for parents to see their little ones in pain, however made us feel at ease. You were very patient with us and gave us all the time to settle down and calm our little one before the actual piercing.
Even when it came down to the marking and percing, you never rushed us. You made sure you double checked the markings were aligned and that we were happy with the alignment. Not once did we feel rushed or pressured.
We wanted to express our gratitude and thanks to you for making this experience a pleasant one. Meera looks so cute with her ear rings.

I flew in all the way from Atlanta to have my 4 month old daughter's ear pierced. My sister also came with me and had her ears pierced too for the 4th time due to previous mall piercing that would leave her with infections. No infection yet! And my daugther's ears are doing great. She gets compliments from strangers on how cute she looks everywhere we go! I did a google search for babyear piercings and after checking out your website and reading your customer reviews, I knew that I wanted you to pierce my baby's ears. Just came back from getting my 11 month old baby girls ears pierced. I read all the reviews and thought they were way to good to be true..I thought once i called to make the appointment i would surly find something that didn't add up.WRONG!! Margaret was great with me on the phone. We stayed on for 15 min. so she could answer ALL my question..and i had a million. My main concern was sterilization procedures and pain factor for my baby. She had no problem telling me EVERYTHING. She's very thorough. Needless to say Margaret was as amazing in person as she was on the phone. She has a very calming way about her. The appointment lasted 20 mins. My baby girls ears look amazing..she cried a bit, but that's expected. When we left she was laughing!! Yes..it is pricey..but soo worth it!! We haven't had any issues with swelling, or infection either and it has been about 3 weeks since we got them done. I highly recommend if you are in the area. We were traveling from China and were staying in the San Francisco area for a few days. Through considerable research and reading the reviews of Margaret, I was convinced that she was professional and would provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for me and my daughter. Margaret was very thorough in following up prior to my daughter's appointment and was so kind and warm both during the piercing and following the piercing. I highly recommend Margaret! She's a true professional. I was shocked at the review on YELP regarding Margaret and her services. Oviously this mom was only concerned in having her way! I called Margaret and told her I would write a personal comment on YELP - Margaret informed me that she was gratefull for my call and was truly sadden by what this mom had written. My expirence with babypiercing was incredible. Margaret took her time marking my baby to make sure it was perfect. I felt that the mom that wrote the comment was only thinking about herself and not what was best for her baby. Truly selfish. Our daughter is 15 months old; I had been thinking about getting her ears pierced earlier (which I would suggest to everyone), but a hectic schedule and a small dose of fear got the better of me.
Margaret was very prompt in responding to my questions both by e-mail and phone. When we arrived for our appointment, our daughter knew something was up, and burst into tears, and proceeded to scream through the entire visit. Margaret was calm and soothing, and somehow managed to still mark her ears perfectly even though she was writhing the whole time! She asked my husband and I to confirm that we were happy with the placement, and then pierced her ears quickly and painlessly. In fact, our daughter actually stopped crying immediately after the piercing!
The office was immaculately clean. Margaret described the procedure in detail to us before proceeding, including the extra steps that she takes to avoid infection and make the piercing as painless as possible. She also carefully explained how to clean her ears going forward.
My husband and I were truly impressed. 5-star service all-around.
