If you're looking for safety, quality, & years of experience when it comes to piercing your baby's ears, this is DEFINITELY the spot! I took my 4 mo old baby today - it was so comforting to know my baby was in safe hands! I highly recommend Margaret & her services. she knows exactly what she is doing, & makes you & your baby feel comfortable & secure. the one on one attention she gives ensures you get the best service possible. that was very important to me.
Pros
Margaret is so friendly, professional, & most importantly, she definitely knows what she's doing! 35 yrs of experience, you can't beat that. I would much rather bring my baby here, where I feel as if I can trust the person, than at some mall booth where they're not at all experienced w infants!
Cons
the only thing that would make this place better is if it was located in a spot easier to find. but follow the directions on mapquest & take a look @ the picture of the place (there's one on the babypiercing.com website photos) before you go to make it easier.

Thank you for a wonderful review - 6/03/08

Found this place through Parentsays website. Best place to have your baby or child get their ears pierced. It's located in a Yoga health business. Margaret Mahoma has 35 years of experience in piercing baby's ears. When I had mine done it was at a mall in one of those center booths when I was a little kid. Nowadays, I just don't trust those places to do my little girl's ear. It's more expensive, but I felt it's worth it to get it done correctly and evenly. There's a small selection of earrings for you to choose from which includes your birthstone color. She said she had her piercing gun custom made in Germany. The back part of her earrings are screwed in rather than just a push in one. The room setting is like in a doctor's office but less cold since there was a window. My 5 year old girl did not cry, but just kept saying ouch, ouch, ouch. I let her decide when she wanted to get her ears pierced. So, if you are willing to pay a little more, but be in capable hands then I would highly recommend her.

Thank You for the great review! 4/12/08

Just took my 4 mos old in for her ear piercing. Margaret was friendly on the phone with some advice before we arrived and she was friendlier upon our arrival for our appointment. She explained everything in advance and was very gentle. My daughter cried but it was only for the briefest moment & I know it wasn't from the pain - it was from her surprise.

I am glad I waited for an appointment with Margaret - the mall places look so sloppy and erratic every time I've seen them. I highly recommend this place for your precious ones ear piercing. I consider the extra money a valuable investment in one on one attention she gave us.

Letter from concerned parent.....7/9/08

Hi Margaret,
I read about your company on Babycenter.com and wanted to see if you could give me some advice. My wife and I had our 2.5 year old daughter's ears pierced 4 days ago at Claire's who specializes in babies, children and kids ear piercing.  They suggested we pierce her ears simotaniasly because she might not let us pierce the second ear if we do them one at time. They marked her ears where the earrings would go before piercing them. Her earrings seem to be centered on each ear, but it looks like her left ear has more space between the earring and the bottom of her ear compared to the spacing on her right ear. I am probably over analyzing this (my wife thinks I am), but is it normal to have the earring slightly misaligned? If not, do you suggest we take one of her earrings out and let it close up, then re-pierce her ear? If so, how long should we wait and will here be any scarring? I am so confused on what to do and I do not want to put my daughter through any more pain, but I also do not want her to grow up and be upset that her earrings are slightly misaligned.

Another thought I had is that her ears could be slightly different sizes and that is why I am noticing a slight difference. Thank you in advance for your help. I wish we lived in California so we could have you take a look at her piercings. :(

Sincerely,
(a concerned father)

Your Question(s)?: Hello.
I had my daughters ears pierced when she was three months old, at the
pediatricians office. They appeared to have been done right, but when I took
those earring off to put on new ones, the holes were completely off balance. The
left one is much higher than the right one, and the right one is a little
farther back than the left one. I had settled to them being like that because I
didn't want to put my baby through that again. But every time I see her ears, I
get so upset, and most like later on when she's older she'll feel bad about it.
Sorry for the long story, my questions are the following. If I take her earrings
off now, will those holes close up? If so, how long might they took to close?
and, how long do I have to wait to have them re-pierced? I asked the
pediatricians office but the response I got, just had nothing to do it, it
seemed that they didn't understand my question. I'm so disappointed I took her
there thinking that they might know what they were doing, I guess I was wrong. I live in
Florida, but heard of you from a friend that lives over there, and she highly
recommends you. I hope you can answer my questions, and based on that I will
plan I trip up there so that you can pierce her ears for me. Here there is no
one that specializes in infant piercing.
Thank you in advance for your help, I truly appreciate you taking the time to
read my questions.

From Margaret - babypiercing.com

I receive many letters and phone calls regarding piercings that have "GONE WRONG!"

Please do the following:

If your not happy with the piercing..... wait one day and REMOVE the earring.  (if you remove the earring right away it will bleed.)

The piercing will heal there should be no scare or visible hole.

Please make sure that the person that is piercing your babies earlobes knows what she or he is doing - don't be afraid to ask questions.  Make sure the markings are straight.

Feel free to call or email with any question regarding piercings of future piercings.

Warm regards,

Margaret

Hi Margaret!

I need an answer from an experience person.
Last week I had my 6 months daughter ear pierced by her pediatrician office staff, but the left side is higher than the right one. It is disturbing me. I'd like to pierce it again, but the pediatrician says he can't do it now because it could injury her ears. I don't believe it would be cause problems. I think I can take the earing out and whithin some days the piercing is completely closed. The new piercing wouldn't be so close to this actual one.

So, I would like to know what you think and if you would do it for me and how much the service would be? We have to reach you in your place or you come over mine?

Thanks in advance for your help!
